Experience:
I have been working with preschoolers for over 13 years. I started as a preschool Sunday School teacher here at FUMC, and then began substituting here at the preschool once my oldest child entered elementary school. This year marks my 7Th year in the 3 year old class, and my 5th year in our Tuesday/Thursday Enrichment Class.
I am also very honored and pleased to have been recently named Director to this wonderful preschool that has been serving the community for 35 years! My goal for the children here at WCP is not only to provide them with a “place of love and learning”, but to help them to develop a love for learning. I want the children who attend here to be excited about school and the opportunities it will provide for them over the course of the next 15-18 years of their life!
Why I do what I do…
I absolutely love teaching/working here at Weekday Christian Preschool! I am just sorry it took so long for me to find my calling! I love seeing how much the children grow both physically and cognitively over the course of the year! And now with me teaching Enrichment and with me being the Director, I get to see the growth from one whole year to the next! It is absolutely amazing!
I find being a preschool teacher/director to be an extremely rewarding profession. The children at this age are so excited and are so open to learning that I can’t wait to come to work each and every day. Their energy and excitement at this age is super contagious!
I feel extremely honored and blessed to be a part of each and every one of their lives!
